BrightSource Energy Pulls Planned IPO

Apr 13, 2012 – 2011 was supposed to be the breakout year for solar companies and their stock.  It didn’t happen and bad streak is continuing.  BrightSource had a $1.6 billion [that is with a b] loan guaranteed by the US government.  It does remind one of Solyndra and other solar companies that have gone bankrupt.  That doesn’t look like it is in view for BrightSource, but the investment community is just not receptive to solar stocks today.
