Joel L. Singer is the managing partner of Boston Digital Ventures, which focuses on bringing solutions to the challenges of accelerating the transition to a cleaner/greener energy society (www.boston-digital.com).  In addition, he serves on the boards of Syntha Corporation; Enercom Inc.; and National Integrated Employer Solutions.  Over his career, Joel has held a variety of high-level positions: President and co-CEO of Bay State Gas/Northern Utilities; CEO of Navigant Consulting’s Energy & Water Business; and CEO of Boston Digital.  Joel is also an adjunct professor at the International Business School at Brandeis.

Janna  Cohen-Rosenthal ’03
Sustainability Coordinator, Brandeis
Janna Cohen-Rosenthal ’03 is the first Sustainability Coordinator at Brandeis University. Janna began in the position in 2008 to save energy and reduce waste for the University. As a signatory of the American University and College President’s Climate Commitment, Brandeis has pledged to  become Climate Neutral by 2050. Janna is leading the policy and implementation efforts to reach these ambitious goals, including installing this year a solar array on Gosman Sports and Convocation Center roof and launching innovative social marketing campaigns. Prior to this position, Janna was the Marketing and Communications Coordinator for Massachusetts Energy Consumers Alliance, a non-profit working to grow renewable energy options in New England.

Founding Member/Manager, Falmouth Community Solar Garden
Commercial PV Manager, My Generation Energy

Michael  Stone ’09 formed Falmouth Community Solar Garden to leverage the interest and group purchasing power of the local community to form a solar farm in Falmouth using leasable land. Participating members reduce their electric cost in proportion to the facility’s production and their ownership share. By providing energy credits, environmental goodwill, and local enthusiasm for solar, the Falmouth Community Solar Garden is a comprehensive and rewarding endeavor to all stakeholders. Michael also serves as Commercial PV Manager for My Generation Energy, where he is responsible for planning and executing direct marketing and sales of renewable energy for Bristol County, Plymouth County, Dukes County and towns west of and including Barnstable.
