Ads Continued: NRDC donated by Peter Morton

Feb 19, 2010 – Earlier this month the NRDC, “The Earth’s Best Defense” [Who are they?] of NYC had full page ads donated by Peter  Morton [Who is he?].  The NRDC is Natural Resources Defense Council & its Trustee’s include well-know actors, actresses, celebrities, wealthy businessman, etc. The ad was directed to US Senators & informs us that “Yet still we make energy the way cavemen did, by setting thing on fire.”  It ends by stating that we should, “Support clean energy and climate legislation now.  The stakes are too high for anything less.”  Please leave your comments here.

  1. I couldn’t agree more with the NRDC. Having said this, I want to point out, that the most difficult thing we face is a world of greedy inventors, corporate counter-types and government red-tape making it difficult for consumers to acquire the green benefits of better technology to secure a healthier future for our children. For instance, I recently began looking into having a power plant built for our fully funded 800 acre hydroponics greenhouse project, which will use about 1.7 million kwhs annually per acre. I was immediately confronted by inventors (of http://www.regenedyne.com) wanting me to sign confidentiality agreements concerning their technology, which would bind me for all eternity to even speak about the power plant at all. I was so upset, that anyone would have the audacity to suggest such a thing, I told the inventor we wouldn’t even consider such a thing. We also told the inventor, if they chose to change their minds we were open to them building the power plant in question and hung the phone up. In addition, as most of you are aware, the U.S. Government claims most mountain tops. We were entertaining the idea of seeking Regenedyne.com wind turbines manufacturer to build our power station to generate our power needs because they use less ground than typical turbines power arrays do. So we sought to begin negotiating with the National Forestry Service and BLM to acquire the permits necessary to place one of Regenedyne’s proposed power stations in an area on a mountain 3 miles from our hydroponics site. Guess what, can’t get anyone to answer the phone or even worse, keep getting the runaround from the bureaucracy, where it’s becoming exhausting. And all this, because we wanted to introduce a better food source into society by producing produce grown both to better manage our natural resources but as well as provide greater access to organic hydroponic vegetables. Anybody got any suggestion on how to acquire the power or assistance we need to bring our vision forward?
