Green New Year’s Resolutions

Use Compact Fluorescent or LED lights.
When purchasing a new car, be aware of fuel efficiency and alternative energy.
Consider solar energy for part of you electrical needs. In areas with high utility bills, government incentives and abundant sunshine, the solar alternative may be economicly feasible.
Consider solar energy for heating hot water or your swimming pool. This may yield a larger cost savings than photovoltaic cells for elecricity.
Participate in green activities. For example, go sailing instead of power boating.
Use mass transportation when feasible.
