Unintended Consequences: Summer Jazz Festival
Jun 19, 2009 – What do hybrid cars or the lack of them have to do with summer jazz festivals? Detroit’s lack of hybrid cars and their 2 bankruptcies has bad consequences for summer jazz festivals according to Bernard Simon of the Financial Times. There will be no Art Tatum Jazz Heritage Festival in 2009 because Chrysler backed out as the main sponsor [$100,000]. The GM Foundation dispensed $31.4 million in 2007, but has told most of the recipients not to expect any donations in 2009. Don’t go to individual car dealers to help make up the slack, even though traditionally they have been supportive in their local communities. And finally, don’t waste your time seeking donations from individuals who previously worked at GM, Chrysler, Delphi or myriad dealerships.

Your website appears to be like really good. Being a blog writer myself, I actually admire the time you took in penning this article.
As energy prices sky rocket the prices of solar panels will only go up. This will hopefully prove that solar panels will be a great investment for anyone wanting to save some money or help the environment. Either way, solar panels really should be at the top of the “to do” list. Someone has recommended Solar Panels so I am really looking forward to getting them.
Really enjoy your comment. Hope solar panel info may help someone save money.
to make a solar/rain barrel irrigation/sprinkler sysyem for my my lawn. Any ideas where to look for plans on electrical design, implementation, etc.
Hi, this was a really top notch blog. I’d like to blog like this also – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.
I was doing a search for solar energy dealers today and came across this post, Unintended Consequences: Summer Jazz Festival. Interesting to say the least.
This was a well thought documentation; you have covered a lot of points here.
Solar cells generate no emissions. Most energy is produced around the world by burning coal in big power stations. We all know the negative effect this is having on our environment.
Good post, thanks
The biggest advantage of using solar power to recharge your batteries is that you do not require external electrical sources as the sun is everywhere.
I really enjoyed your article. Please could you expand on the main points in the last paragraph of your article?
Wonderful to read!
I would like to add something for people who are into protecting our earth and environment. Now, with all the global issues that we have to embrace into our lives and our childrens lives, we should all do our part to help a least a little bit. Why not Eliminate your Electrical Bill and Save Thousands a year with Solar Panels for your Home, they are extremely easy to build and this will be an easy way for you to do your part in helping our planet and save a tonne of money at the same time. Think about it.
Excellent job.
Good post, thanks
Each post I have read is well written and to the point. I would also like to state, not only are the posts well written, but the lay-out of your site is excellent. I was able to navigate from post to post and find what I was looking for with ease. Keep up the great work you are doing, and I will return many times in the near future.
Thanks for this great post – I will be sure to check out your blog more often
Good blog posting – most of the points I agree with however a number of of the more comprehensive issues I have reservations regarding but that might be me being pedantic.
Great blog you have here but i seem to be having a problem looking at your RSS feed. Everytime i click it it comes up with error 500. It might be my own Laptop. I have a Mac with Norton firewall. Im not sure if its Disabled. Let me know if anyone else has mentioned any issues or its just me. Im not too good with Laptops. I cant see my message after submitting so im not sure if you will see this. Ill bookmark your site and check by in a couple of days for an answer. Please let me know if you know of a solution
I’ve been into environmentalism for 20 some odd years now. I’ve always wanted to find a way to reduce our usage of the electrical grid, which I’ve done to some extent with a few solar panels, but I can’t really afford anything that would power the whole home. I’ve been looking into building a cheap magnetic generator (here is one example I found, but I’ve been wondering how hard it would be. Have you had any experice with this or others?
Once you have bought your solar product there is no ongoing cost. For example if you bought a solar battery charger after the initial cost you will have free electricity. No more bills.
I would like to begin by saying, thank you for providing me with the information I’ve been looking for. I have been surfing the net for two hours searching for it and wish I would have found your website sooner. Not only did I locate what I was looking for, but also found answers to questions I never thought to ask. Thank you for your wonderful web-site!
Do you think it’s a conspiracy that not many people know how to produce their own electricity? I mean do corporations stifle education to make more money?
Well written, unique take on this topic.
Please let me know if you’re looking for a writer for your blog. You have some really good articles and I think I would be a good asset.
Hi, I´m Pam, interesting post. I am a first grade teacher in Orange county. Nowadays , most people want to save up cash on their electrical energy bills and one of the most frequent methods is through using solar energy. What can we, the ordinary people do to aid save up our World? The answer may sound strong, but it’s very simple. Build your own solar panel.
Great blog! I genuinely love how it is easy on my eyes as well as the facts are well written. I have bookmarked your site! Clean Energy is green energy. It will be interesting to see how the design of photovoltaic tile evolves over the next decade.
Photovoltaics and solar power offer the best blend of efficiency, cost and maintenance compared to wind and just about any other renewable energy such as biomass.

First off up north solar is to expensive to be a viable alternative…especially compared to geothermal technology, however, further south lets say from about Virginia on down its an affordable alternative…We also do not want to put all our eggs into one basket so do speak when it comes to alternative energy… one more thing don’t believe the CLEAN COAL SCAM the coal propaganda is trying to put forth
