Jun 5, 2009 – Elisabeth Rosenthal and Felicity Barringer recently reported in The New York Times, “Green Promise is Seen in Switch to LED Lighting.“ Buckingham Palace recently installed LED bulbs in the 60 foot high ceiling of its grand stairwell. Their 25 year life expectancy means that workmen won’t have to be climbing up there for a generation. In addition, their electric use is more than 2x more efficient than CFLs.
