Solar Car Wash Comes to You

Apr 12, 2009 – Kathy Van Mullekom reports in the Florida Sun-Sentinel on a solar car wash that comes to clean your car at your location.  Tim Thomas has equipped his Dodge van with 8 solar panels that power up 8 12-volt batteries that provide electricity to his power washer.  These replaced the gas-powered generator that he used previously.  There is no noise and he saves the expense and time needed before to get gasoline.  He hopes to expand and even possibly franchise his concept.  Please leave your comments concerning any other novel uses of solar panels.
