Aqua EWP and Idropan Dell’Orto sign EWP Licensing Agreement

Feb 11, 2009 – Aqua EWP, LLC of San Antonio, Texas and Idropan Dell’orto Depuratori s.r.l. of Milan, Italy have formed a business alliance. Under a license agreement Idropan will assemble water purification systems for commercial systems using the capacitive deionization technology under the brand name EWP (Electronic Water Purifier). Idropan has been manufacturing water treatment systems for over 60 years and will market the EWP systems in Europe and Eurasia.
Aqua EWP, LLC developed the EWP (Electronic Water Purifier) (US and PCT patent pending). It’s is a relatively new world class technology in a field called capacitive deionization. EWP removes minerals to clean water using 100% solid state electronics. The same technology platform is being developed for Green Energy Storage and conversion of Algae to bio-oil. EWP is an unconventional technology has been on the market for 10 years. There are 1,000+ systems installed last year around the world in flow sizes from 1 to 200 gpm. There are assembly licensees in US, Korea, Europe and Australia. Recently a research venture was formed with a university in Texas to further the development of capacitive deionization for energy storage and also the conversion of algae to oil.
