Green Ads: Vestas
Jan 21, 2009 – Recently, companies have been placing ads touting their activities with green energy even when their activities are minor or a small percentage of their total activities. Vestas of Denmark has an ad running now that starts, “Think just anyone can harness the power of the wind? Think again.” It continues, “It takes a company like Vestas with over 30 years experience in taking the raw power of the wind and converting it into clean, CO2 free modern energy.” Well, as Vestas is the # 1 company in the world in manufacturing and installing wind energy, Vestas has the right to make this claim. Their sole focus is wind energy. They go on to state, “By 2020, we predict hat 10% of the worlds’ electricity consumption will come from wind power. And at Vestas we’re striving to make that number higher.” Please provide your comments on other ads and wind energy companies.
