ENERGY ENGINEER (PCE)

Responsibilities

• Gathering of required field information on building systems such as air handling systems, chilled water systems, heating and control systems.

• Prepare Conceptual designs for the implementation of Energy Conserving retrofit projects.

• Prepare designs for the implementation of retrofit projects.

• Mechanical system HVAC load analysis.

• Review design options with customers and/or consultants, contractors.

• Assist the sales team in the preparation of job estimates, proposals and presentations. 

• Maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction is an absolute requirement.

Skills and Competencies

• University Degree and eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical Engineering is required.

• Related industry experience in building systems (HVAC, lighting).

• Thorough understanding of energy sources and conservation strategies

• Strong writing and communication skills is required

DESIGN/BUILD ENGINEER

Responsibilitie

• Review of existing drawings, site conditions and gather required field information on building systems such as air handling systems, chilled water systems, heating and control systems.

• Work with Energy Engineers to identify conceptual designs for the implementation of energy conserving retrofit projects.

• Prepare conceptual designs for the implementation of Energy conserving retrofit projects.

• Assist the Sales team in the preparation of job estimates, proposals and presentations.

• Perform system load calculations, system design and layout, equipment selection and the preparation of detailed HVAC construction drawings and specifications for the implementation of retrofit projects.

• Provide Engineering support during the installation phase.

• Prepare as-built documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

• PEng. (mechanical) registration.

• Minimum of 10 years mechanical building systems design experience.

• AutoCAD proficiency.

• Strong written and verbal skills.

• Customer focused.

• Ability to work independently and also in a team environment.

• Track record of meeting committed timelines.
