I just received an advertising mailer to convince me to install a new air conditioner. That’s not unusual in south Florida as A/C is not a luxury any more here. It’s a basic necessity. But what are the new pitches? Save up to 56% on cooling cost; up to 21 SEER efficiency; qualifies for FPL [Florida Power and Light rebate; & environmentally sound Puron® refrigerant [Freon® as you know must be phased out]. The ads used to just target the delight of a cool house.
