South Plantation High wins 3rd Place with Solar Car
July 29, 2008 – The Sun-Sentinel reported that South Plantation High won third prize in the Texas Dell-Winston School Solar Car Challenge.. It took 13 students 6 months to build the 3-wheel car that used 6 solar panels. Next year the school will enter a road race from Texas to Colorado with a new car.

Congratulations! What a fantastic accomplishment and recognition for these high school students! Their parents, community, fellow students, and school administration must be very proud of them. This contribution to the use of solar energy could prove to be very efficient in the future.
